Contemporary studies of the letters to the Colossians and to Philemon have placed great emphasis on reconstructing the "backgrounds" which condition the interpretation of these documents. Author

Douglas J. Moo (Ph.D., University of St. Andrews) is currently New Testament research professor at the Wheaton Graduate School. He also taught for over twenty years at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He was on the committee that produced the bible Today's New International Version (TNIV) . His work mainly focuses on the Epistles of Paul and the General Epistles.
