God made all of me (Dieu m'a créé comme je suis (pack de 5))
Protect your children by presenting them the truths of the Word of God
This story, told simply and beautifully illustrated, helps children ages 2 to 8 understand that their bodies are precious by teaching them to recognize appropriate gestures and those that are inappropriate for them. She also helps parents talk about this sensitive topic and build a first line of defense against sexual abuse in the safety of their own home.
Justin Holcomb (Ph. D.) is a pastor and professor of theology. He teaches at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and Reformed Theological Seminary. He works for various organizations that help victims of sexual abuse. He is, among other things, a member of the board of GRACE (Godly Response to Abuse in the Christian Environment), an organization that specializes in the fight against abuse in a Christian environment.
Lindsey Holcomb (MPH) works as a counselor for victims of sexual assault and domestic violence. She is the co-founder of REST (Real Escape from the Sex Trade), an organization that helps victims of sex trafficking. She organizes various training seminars for other organizations working in this field.
"With its clear and simple language, this book allows you to start a dialogue with the little ones. The common thread is this basic truth that God created our children and made every part of their bodies for good reason. I highly recommend this book to parents of young children. »
- Diane Langberg, Ph. D., psychologist and author of Suffering and the Heart of God
“Here is an amazing and very well illustrated book. It stands out surprisingly from other works by its exploration of the theme of God's creation to bring children to protect themselves in a culture where risk is real. It is not only beautiful, but also very effective. "
- Michael Horton, Professor of Systematic Theology and Apologetics, Westminster Seminary, California
“Finally, there is a good quality book that will interest children, while providing opportunities for parents to talk about a difficult topic like sexual assault cases. »
- Lindsey Strickland, former child rights advocate at the Sexual Assault Resource Agency, Charlottesville, Virginia
“Educating our children about their bodies is one of the most important steps in addressing child abuse. That’s why this book is an invaluable resource.
