2017 End of Year Report

One of the challenges of presenting annual reports is their very nature—using numbers and metrics to quantify productivity and growth. We know things like spiritual growth, discipleship, and sanctification are not easily and accurately measurable. So as you read the information below and see a lot of numbers, please trust that we hold this information loosely. Our publishing ministry is not primarily by numbers, but by a desire to see the wonderful things that come when people know and love Jesus more. 

Our aim is simple: to equip the French-Speaking Church in the  full knowledge and implications of the gospel of Jesus Christ. There is much going on in the French-Speaking Church throughout the world, and we are humbled to be working in the background to support the work of hundreds of churches and ministries. Please join us in thanking God for the work he has done, in which he allowed us to play a small role.

Publishing

2017 has been an exciting year for Publications Chrétiennes. From new partnerships, to new books, and starting some very exciting large term projects, we are grateful to God for how he is using Publications Chrétiennes to equip the French-Speaking Church.

In numbers, we distributed 144,724 books; 13,485 of these books were distributed throughout French-Speaking Africa and Haiti and 28,047 of these were Gospel Of John’s that are being used to evangelize Quebec.

Each of these books represents a person who purchased a book so that he could understand a difficult biblical concept, study in depth a book of the Bible, understand the steps towards living a Godly life, or sharing the Gospel with a friend. Please pray with us for the continued ministry of these books as they go out and are used as instruments entre les mains du rédempteur.

New Website

This past November we launched a new website. The vision behind the new website is to make it easier for people to find trusted resources at great prices. We have published hundreds of great books, and our new website makes it easier for people to discover them.

New Blog

During the Reformation, the printing press was used to spread the fire of the reformation and the call to return to the centrality of the Gospel. Today, the printing press and these ideas continue to influence the church. We believe, that social media can reach even more people than the printed word would ever reach. Our hope and prayer is that through the creation of a blog we can spread the ideas of the Reformation throughout social media, and call this generation back to the Gospel. Some New Partnerships

9marks

We have started working with 9marks. We had already published two of their core titles, but our renewed partnership means that we are translating the Building a Healthy Church series of books. This year we published, Expositional Preaching, and in January, we will release Church Membership. Along with publishing key books, we will be always translating blog content and making it available on our new blog.

Baptist Haiti Mission

The Baptist Haiti Mission has been working in Haiti since 1946. They have been involved in church planting, education and healthcare in Haiti. They now count 380 churches, 100,000 members, 350 schools with 68,000 students. At their main campus in Fermathe, we have partnered with them to create a bookstore in order to serve the churches they are working with, and make books available for American mission groups looking to purchase books for the churches they are serving.

US Churches

This past year, we have exhibited at many conferences in the US. We have been forming relationships with many churches throughout the US that are involved in missions in the French-Speaking Countries. They have been excited to learn about our ministry and have started bringing books to the mission field. This upcoming year, we will continue being present at conferences in the US.

There is much more that can be written. 2017 has been an exciting year of ministry. We are looking forward to seeing how the Lord will continue to use Publications Chrétiennes to equip His Church is 2018.
