R.-P. Duclos , born in La-Pointe-aux-Fourches (Saint-Pie and Saint-Damase sector), on March 29, 1835, served as pastor of the Union synodale des Églises evangéliques canadienne-française (1858- 1877) and the Presbyterian Church of Canada (1877-1912). He died in Vevey, Switzerland, on September 13, 1912. He was then buried in Mount Royal Cemetery in Montreal. R.-P. Duclos was the first French Canadian to be ordained a Reformed pastor. He liked to put his gifts at the service of society. He was highly regarded, including by Catholics.
