Distinguish between chemical imbalances, brain disorders and disobedience.
Research suggests that more and more of behaviors are caused by the functioning or dysfunction of the brain. However, is it legitimate to blame the brain for behavioral problems? How do I know when the brain is really responsible?
In this book, Edward T. Welch examines brain problems from a scripture perspective. It differentiates between true disorders originating in the brain and those originating in the heart. Understanding this distinction is essential for those who grapple with these issues, but also for pastors, counselors, and friends who want to help those who are experiencing personal struggles or who are struggling to manage their responsibilities. While focusing on some common problems, Dr Welch outlines a whole series of practical steps for dealing with different types of disorders, imbalances, habits or addictions.
