Author

Arthur Pink (1886-1952) - Born in Nottingham, England, he served as a pastor in Great Britain, the United States and Australia. He was for many years the editor of a magazine called Studies in the Scriptures , from which most of his writing is derived. He is the author of They will never perish (the perseverance of the saints) and He who speaks of the cross . He died in the town of Stornoway, on an island in the north of Scotland.

Un incontournable

La souveraineté de Dieu de A.W. Pink est un cour traité qui couvre plusieurs aspects de la providence divine dans la vie chrétienne, la conversion, le salut et autres.
Il s'agit d'un livre bien connu dans le monde évangélique anglophone et qui est des plus bienvenue en francophonie. Puisqu'il est simple à comprendre, tous seront en mesure de bénéficier des enseignements du livre. En exposant ainsi l'Écriture et en demeurant fidèle à celle-ci, l'auteur permet au lecteur d'avoir une meilleure vue d'ensemble de l'oeuvre de Dieu lors de ces futures études bibliques. Lecture bénéfique.

Un bouquin incontournable

Je connaissais Arthur Pink... de nom. Le titre de l'ouvrage me plaisait bien, mais dès que j'en ai débuté la lecture, c'en était fait : je ne pouvais plus m'arrêter. Plusieurs livres ont été écrits sur la souveraineté du Créateur, mais très peu l'ont fait de façon aussi claire et convaincante. De tous les (nombreux) livres de ma collection personnelle, c'est celui dans lequel j'ai fait le plus de surlignages, soulignages et notes dans les marges. On y étudie l'élection, la réprobation, la responsabilité de l'Homme, la prière et j'en passe. On y retrouve aussi un chapitre qui répond aux principales objections à la doctrine de la souveraineté divine. Je conseille ce livre autant à ceux qui connaissent bien le sujet qu'à ceux qui veulent le comprendre, car il est du bonbon!
