<transcy>The New City Catechism Devotional (Nouveau catéchisme pour la cité)</transcy>
52 meditations to become attached to the truths of God
For centuries the Church has used catechisms to teach doctrine. In our society where beliefs are constantly being redefined, learning Bible truths together in the form of questions and answers has become all the more urgent and relevant.
The New City catechism wants to put this ancient practice back at the heart of Church life. This text is an adaptation of the catechisms of Geneva, Westminster, and especially Heidelberg.
This gospel-centered resource summarizes key Christian doctrines in 52 questions and answers while helping the reader be transformed by these truths. Each question is followed by the answer, an appropriate biblical text, a commentary from a historical figure (Augustin d'Hippone, Jean Calvin, Martin Luther ...), a contemporary commentary (Dominique Angers, John Piper, Paul Wells, Kevin DeYoung…) and a short prayer.
