Timothy Keller was born and raised in Pennsylvania. He studied at Bucknell University, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and Westminster Theological Seminary. He began his pastoral ministry in Hopewell, Virginia. In 1989, he founded the Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City with his wife Kathy and their three sons. Une présentation superbe de la personne et la beauté de Jésus. L'approche de Keller dans ce livre est différente de celle de son autre livre, 'La Raison est pour Dieu'. Ici, il essaie plutôt d'aider le lecteur à surmonter les obstacles culturels et émotionnels à la foi chrétienne.
