The doctrine of the Lord's Supper has caused much discord in the history of the Church. In this little book, published in 1541, the same year as the first French edition of the Institution of the Christian religion , Jean Calvin explains to us how the Last Supper is a great source of benefits for believers. He presents the elements of a debate that raged in his day, and teaches us his position regarding this practice instituted by Christ himself. Its objective is to seek unity by proposing a formula around which all can unite.

Jean Calvin (1509-1564) was a French theologian, an important reformer and an emblematic pastor of the Protestant Reformation of the XVI e century, in particular for his contribution to the so-called "Calvinist" doctrine. A hard worker, he wrote commentaries on a large number of Bible books, thus putting literature at the service of theology.
