Author

Georges Godet (1845-1907) was the linchpin of the annotated Bible, this book so useful to evangelical Christians. Without him, his father's comments, and in particular that on the Gospel of John, would not have taken the successful form that allows them to remain benchmarks today. Georges Godet wrote many articles in theological journals, but no extensive work, except this commentary on the Second Epistle to the Corinthians.
