Presentation

"Vanity of vanities, all is vanity," says Ecclesiastes.

What is the point of living this life, vain, painful and fleeting? The answer can be found in this oft-cited, seldom understood book of the Old Testament.

in The Ecclesiastes, to live with wisdom guides us step by step in the study of this ancient text. He explains the maxims and then addresses the central questions of Ecclesiastes: Is life worth living? How to be happy in this existence? What attitude to have in the face of earthly pleasures? Are satisfaction and joy even possible?

Throughout the chapters, the author presents the biblical text and enriches it with his translation notes, then gives an outline, a detailed analysis of the passage as well as the applications, before concluding with questions for reflection. Educational, clear and accessible to all, this in-depth study is ideal for personal or group reflection.

More than a simple philosophical guide, it is a real practical tool to lead this quest for wisdom. Like a map to navigate with the Qohéleth, it encourages us to fear God, the source of all wisdom and all joy.

This book will help you:

  • Understand each section of Ecclesiastes in context.
  • Apply the text in your everyday life.
  • Renew your outlook on life and on God in this difficult world

Highlights of the book:

  • Questions to develop personal reflection.
  • Clear and educational explanations.

Public:
