Presentation
Previously published under the title: The commandments relating to hospitality
Hospitality is a biblical commandment. It is an essential element in building a Christian community. It is an excellent means for the Christian to serve the children of God and to exercise his spiritual gifts. By opening his door to people, the Christian is able to discover a practical and effective way of serving the Lord Jesus Christ. Few Christians realize what the New Testament teaches about hospitality and what it can accomplish for the local church.
In addition, hospitality is also an effective tool for evangelism. This may be the only way Christians have to reach their neighbors with the gospel, that is, by first showing the love of Christ.
