<transcy>Spurgeon: his life and work, 1834-1892 (Spurgeon : sa vie et son oeuvre, 1834-1892)</transcy>
Presentation
Gifted with a powerful voice, great intelligence, and a mastery of simple, illustrated language that touched the hearts of crowds, Spurgeon was one of the most outstanding preachers of his day. However, the most important factor in his success was his deep trust in his Savior and Lord, as well as a genuine understanding of his grace and love. This produced in him a great desire to make known, love and worship the Lord Jesus.
The text is that of the book edited by M me G. Brunel in 1924. It is inspired by the books of MESaillens and Pastor Shindler, friend and biographer of Spurgeon, as well as the book of Spurgeon himself, Memories of Stambourne . This reissue brings back memories of important events relating to the life and work of this faithful servant of God.
