Presentation
When someone comes to Christ in repentance and faith, their greatest problem (sin) is solved forever because Christ has won total victory for all of his people. In addition, the joy of salvation, peace with God, fellowship are blessings which, in these first moments of liberation, can reach an extraordinary intensity.
But there is another reality. Certain trials, totally unknown until then, arise, sometimes with great violence. Faced with these assaults, the young convert can experience the confusion of doubt, of guilt, of conviction of sin as never before. All of this sometimes has a devastating effect.
The reason is that by becoming a Christian, one enters a merciless war against an enemy experienced in the game of cunning. The final victory is already won by Christ on the cross, but the spiritual battle is a tough one and it depends in large part on the quality of the equipment the new believer has.
In Ephesians 6, Scripture presents the armor that God provides and that a Christian needs to achieve victory after standing firm. This book reviews the various elements of this armor of God - the breastplate of righteousness, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, etc.
These clear, simple, and biblical pages are a useful and welcomed reminder that the Christian does not fight alone or exposed - he is under the banner of Christ's victory.
