A pastor and a musician share their experience and understanding of worship in the Church to help you conduct worship.

This manual is a true reference tool for worship leaders, musicians, pastors, elders, and anyone involved in the conduct of worship. He tackles this theme both from a biblical and practical point of view.

After a detailed study of biblical principles, the basis of individual and collective praise, Philippe Viguier and Kevin Stauffer raise an essential question: What is the purpose of worship? The answer to this question is decisive. It is she who will guide our worship.

This book then offers us many tips and tools for the practical organization of worship. All the roles that intervene in the conduct of a cult are discussed, as well as the different elements that make it up (prayers, last supper, offerings, etc.). He then tackles the important subject of songs (choice, creation…) and discusses the issue of online worship. The manual ends with technical sheets written by eleven specialists (musicians, sound engineers, etc.). They will help you better manage the different musical instruments, sound and multimedia presentations during your services.

This book will help you:

  • Understand what the Bible says about the notion of common praise and worship
  • Train the worship team, animators, musicians, singers ...
  • Organize in a practical way the establishment of dynamic and impactful cults in your assembly.

Highlights of the book:

  • Experienced authors and speakers specialized in their field (instruments, sound system, etc.).
  • Both theoretical (theological reflection) and practical (fact sheets).

Public:

  • Pastors, elders and those responsible for supervising the worship activities of the Church.
  • Animators, singers, musicians, sound engineer, multimedia ... and generally anyone involved in the organization of a worship.

Pat Berning, Author, composer , performer, who put his musical gifts at the service of the Church.

This is the book I would have needed as I began my ministry as a worship leader in my early twenties. It addresses many of the founding principles for a flourishing liturgical life as a community. A must read. »
