Kevin DeYoung (Ph.D., University of Leicester) is the senior pastor of Christ Covenant Church in Matthews, North Carolina. He is also an associate professor of systematic theology at Reformed Theological Seminary. Kevin is the author of numerous books, including Life of a Fool, The Loophole in Our Holiness, and Grace Defined and Defended. He and his wife, Trisha, have nine children.

Un bon livre de chevet

M. DeYoung nous emmène ici pour un voyage dans le passé. Ses réflexions sur le catéchisme de Heidelberg sont profondes et efficaces, nous conduisant souvent à nous examiner afin de nous soumettre à la volonté de Dieu. Un livre qui peut facilement être utilisé comme méditation quotidienne.

Bon pour vos ados !

J'ai lu ce livre avec mes enfants adolescents après le déjeuner. Souvent nous avons seulement lu la moitié ou le tier d'un chapitre. Les discussions après (2-3 minutes) nous permettaient d'approfondir notre compréhension de la foi que nous sommes appelés à confesser.

Un bel outil pour transmettre la foi de génération en génération !

Délice pour mon âme.

J'ai acheté ce livre pour accompagner mes lectures quotidiennes dans la Bible. Quelle merveilleuse surprise ! Nous sommes le 4 janvier et j'ai lu ce matin les dixième et onzième dimanches. J'ai appris par coeur le symbole des apôtres dans mon enfance (petit catéchisme catholique), et je l'avais complètement oublié parce que ce n'était qu'un poème appris par coeur comme n'importe quel autre. Je le relis et il est comme une musique bienfaisante qui me rappelle l'amour de Dieu pour moi. Il m'accompagnera cette année, mais je le lirai certainement plusieurs fois.
