The Word Made Flesh: Ligonier's Statement on Christology Humbly strives to offer to the Church of our time - and, with God's blessing, to that of generations to come - a succinct statement concerning the person and work of Christ, drawing on the riches of the past, both in ecumenical confessions of faith and in Reformed theology.

Perhaps this statement, and the twenty-six articles of affirmation and rebuttal that accompany it, can serve as a catalyst for further discussion and reflection on these fundamental questions of Christology. Perhaps this statement itself can prove useful to the Church. Every effort has been made to make it suitable for public recitation. We want anyone who comes across this statement to know that “Jesus Christ is Lord”.
