<transcy>Christians are forever! (La persévérance des saits)</transcy>
The Perseverance of the Saints, written in 1654, is John Owen’s response to the mistaken teaching of one John Goodwin. However, Owen writes: “Mr. Goodwin's challenge was secondary to me; I felt the best course of action was to confirm with the scriptures alone the truth he objected to. This was my first intention; and I hope, by the grace of God, that the pious reader will find satisfaction in it. "

John Owen, born in 1616, is one of the most eminent theologians in the history of England.
