Paul's Epistles to the Thessalonians (Les épîtres de Paul aux Thessaloniciens)
The community of Christians in Thessaloniki was founded by the apostle Paul. It is made up of converted pagans and Jews. Paul thanks God for his work in this community which bears witness to faith, brotherly love and hope in Christ.
The church, however, experiences tensions linked to tradition and very different background of its members but also of the dispute concerning the return of Jesus Christ - a subject that comes up frequently in these epistles. It is in this context that Paul supported by Silas brings the teachings left by Jesus Christ in the Gospels.
