<transcy>Morning by morning (Les rendez-vous du matin)</transcy>
Presentation
Modern man's day is full of appointments. He has some planned, he looks forward to others. Still others will arise unannounced, and only apprehension imagines them in advance. Either way, the uncertainty of life continues to loom over the day, and in large part, over the outcome of many dates.
What a beautiful preventive remedy, then, to prepare at dawn by coming to this meeting to which God invites us! He is the one who has the keys to the day and to our life. Also, great wisdom permeates such a meeting. With Charles Spurgeon as our driver, or rather, our traveling companion, we are sure to discover new aspects of this God every day who calls us to meet him all day.
Through these daily meditations of great poetry, Spurgeon shows himself as "a master of the house who draws new things and old things from his treasure".
