Presentation
Death, sickness, poverty and the stranger: what does Jesus say?
Françoise Giroud declared: “For twenty years now, in France, we have turned our backs on hope and replaced it with fear. Fear of losing your job, fear of losing social security coverage, fear of immigrants, fear of Le Pen, fear of Maastricht, fear of the globalization of the economy, fear of children who will no longer know the social lift, and all it ends up turning to the fear of living ”.
That was in 1997. Twenty years later, things haven't really changed. All life, in one form or another, fears assail us. Small fears, big fears. fears often paralyze us and prevent us from fully enjoying life.
Have some fears taken root in you as well? Is it inevitable or do you think you can be freed from it?
The author brilliantly presents the four great fears that plague the lives of our contemporaries. He says Jesus Christ knows all of our fears. He spoke of it often when he was on earth. And, even today, he suggests that man abandon his fears in order to receive his peace, his hope, his comfort.
